Safety Harness Inspection Course

Course: This half day training normal runs in the afternoon, following our Safety Harness - Level 1 Course. The course provides each delegate with the core knowledge to correctly and formally inspect safety harness and associated fall protection equipment. Course objectives: To provide each delegate with the required competency to safetly and correctly carry out the statutory inspections to general items of fall protection equipment and accurately record the findings. Who will benefit?: All those, beit individuals or within an organisation involved in the formal statutory inspection of fall prevention/protection equipment for working at height. Course content: Legislation / Guidance Standards and Inspection Requirements Statutory inspections Equipment failure videos Storage, care and maintenance Identifying faults and damage (practical assessment) Theory test paper (multiple choice) Course Entry Requirements: Each delegates attending this course must be able to carry out a pre-use inspection of a full body harness/lanyard, and to correctly fit/adjust it. They should also be aware of the difference between Work Positioning, Fall Arrest and Fall Restraint, and the common hazards associated with the use of Personal Fall Protection Equipment and Working at Height in general.
